Electronic proposals for the ATH-WEST UNION STREET Project, ODOT PID 108672, City Project #322, will be received by the City of Athens, Ohio, through http://www.bidexpress.com until 10:00 AM on February 22, 2023. At that time, the electronic proposals will be downloaded and read aloud at the City Building, 8 East Washington Street, Athens Ohio.

Qualifications:
|
|
The contractor must be ODOT pre-qualified. Only prequalified contractors will be eligible to submit bids for construction projects. Prequalification status must be in force at the time of bidding, the time of sale, the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract. For work types that ODOT does not prequalify, the City of Athens will select a qualified contractor. Subcontractors are not subject to the prequalification requirement.

Special Requirements:
|
|
The Contractor must comply with the Federal Prevailing Wage Rates on public improvements in Athens County as ascertained by the State of Ohio Department of Industrial Relations under the Davis-Bacon Act.
The Contractor must comply with the Federal requirement for utilizing Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) for this project; the assigned minimum DBE goal is eight percent (8%).
The Contractor must comply with US Iron and Steel requirements per 23 CFR 635.410 and ORC 153.011 and 5525.21.
