NOTICE OF FIRST PUBLIC HEARING – FULTON COUNTY

PY 2023 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners intends to apply to the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) for funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and the HOME Investment Partnerships Program. CDBG & HOME are federally funded programs administered by ODOD, Office of Community Development (OCD). The ODOD also administers the state funded Ohio Housing Trust Fund (OHTF). For Program Year 2023, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners will be eligible to apply for various grants from these programs on behalf of their communities. Communities interested in grant funding should attend this hearing.

This public hearing will be held on Tuesday, January 17 th , 2023 at 9:45 am in the Fulton County Commissioner’s Chambers located at 152 S. Fulton St., Wauseon, Ohio 43567.This public hearing is the first of two mandatory public hearings that will occur in PY 2023. The purpose of the first public hearing is to provide citizens and local administrators with pertinent information about the programs available and program requirements. MVPO and the County will work with communities to identify potentially successful applications for funding. The second public hearing will be held at a future date and will review applications prior to their submittal. Please note, communities do not have the authority to apply for CDBG programs. All applications must be approved by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners via resolution.
