Sealed proposals will be received until 12 o’clock noon on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 by electronic bid only for the following project:

Maple Street and Peters Road Waterline Improvements

in accordance with the specifications now on file in the office of the Director of Public Service and Safety, City of Troy, Ohio.

The electronic bidding will be handled through the Bid Express service www.bidexpress.com . Bidder must register, set up to bid, and review each solicitation the bidder intends to bid electronically prior to bidding.

This project includes the installation of 1,400 feet of 8” ductile iron water main along Maple Street and associated water services, abandoning of existing 6” water line on Peters Road, transfer of water services to an existing 16” waterline on Peters Road and relocation of a master meter pit. All Contractors and Subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practical, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of this project. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Miami County and the City of Troy, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations.

A bid guaranty as follows is required to accompany each proposal as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted a contract will be entered into:

  • A bid bond in the amount of 100% payable to the City of Troy, or
  • A certified check, a cashier's check, Official Bank Check, or a letter of credit in the amount of 10% payable to the City of Troy, Ohio

The City of Troy reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities in the bids when to the advantage of the City and to select the best bid in its opinion. The City of Troy, Ohio is in compliance with ADA.
