Sealed proposals will be received until 12 o’clock noon on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, by electronic bid only for the following project: MIA– North Elm St. Resurfacing (PID 116848) in accordance with the plans and specifications now on file in the office of the Director of Public Service and Safety, City of Troy, Ohio.
The electronic bidding will be handled through the Bid Express service at
www.bidexpress.com
. Bidder must register, set up to bid, and review each solicitation the bidder intends to bid electronically prior to bidding.
This project consists of the milling and resurfacing of North Elm Street, replacing the striping, and installing sharrows through the corridor for a length of 0.38 miles between W. Main Street and the Morgan Ditch Bridge. All Contractors and Subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practical, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of this project. Bidders must comply with Davis Bacon federal prevailing wage rates, submit evident of his experience on projects of similar size and complexity and be ODOT prequalified.
A bid guaranty as follows is required to accompany each proposal as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted a contract will be entered into:

A bid bond in the amount of 100% of the bid amount, payable to the City of Troy, Ohio, or
-
A certified check, a cashiers’ check, an Official Bank Check, or a letter of credit in the amount of 10% of the bid amount, payable to the City of Troy, Ohio.
The City of Troy reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities in the bids when to the advantage of the City and to select the best and lowest bid submitted. The City of Troy, Ohio is in compliance with ADA.
