INTRODUCTION:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build (DBB) EHRM Infrastructure Updates Construction project at the Chalmers P. Wylie Veterans Outpatient Clinic (VAMC) located at 420 N James Rd Columbus, OH 43219.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The scope of this project includes but is not limited to the following: replace the existing copper networking cabling (CAT5e, CAT6) with new CAT6a network cabling for the Chalmers P. Wylie Ambulatory Care Center in Columbus, OH.; Renovate the existing MCR/Data Center room to comply with current VA OIT and Engineering standards; Renovate the existing building Telecommunication Room(s) (TR s) to comply with current VA OIT and Engineering Standards; Renovations will include but not be limited to Telecommunication, Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Protection, Security, and Architectural changes.
ADMINISTRATIVE:
The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 million. The solicitation will be issued around late August 2023. The period of performance is approximately 365 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $10,000,000.00 and $20,000,000.00. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to Tessia.Hall@va.gov. Telephone calls will not be accepted.
