Ground clearing North of Ash Archive approximately 4.5 acres.
All brush and trees are to be removed and chipped on site.
Stumps over 4 inches are to be ground.
Larger trees may be removed from site or chipped at contractor’s discretion.
Remaining Chips and mowing debris are to be spread evenly on the removal site so that future growth can be mowed with a brush hog. Debris shall be fine enough to brush hog over. There should be no ruts deeper than 3 inches when work is finished.
Contractor will need to keep adjacent research planting available to Forest Service staff / contract staff during normal working hours. Contractor will communicate work schedules with the COR so that work in adjacent areas can be conducted safely. This may require some coordination between FS staff, COR, and contractor to ensure that critical work by FS staff can be conducted safely.
Damage to access roads shall be restored to original grade and smoothness.
Contactor shall stage equipment north and east of the area to be cleared. Access to existing tree plantings will not be blocked with parked equipment. Staging area will be restored to existing grade and smoothness. Vegetation may be removed from this area as needed.
