The United States (US) Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance & Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate, Special Warfare (SW) Program Office (AFLCMC/WISN) is conducting market research to identify possible sources capable of providing a rapidly deploying High Frequency (HF), Ultra-High Frequency (UHF), and Very High Frequency (VHF) antenna system which has the ability to connect at least two bands simultaneously.
Special Tactics (ST) forces do not have an antenna system which provides the ability to connect two bands simultaneously. Currently the ST forces must use multiple antennas which require more than one operator to set up. Without this capability it could cause a lapse in real time information sharing, friendly force tracking, battlefield situational awareness (SA), receiving and transmitting information through a Common Operating Picture (COP), and the ability to connect to Personnel Recovery Coordination Centers (PRCC), Joint Personnel Recovery Center (JPRC), Personnel Recovery Mission Management (PRMM) and Government Cloud services.
