The City of Athens will be accepting Sealed Bids for the following vehicle:
1994 Chevy GC3 Dump truck
The bids will be received by the Service-Safety Director in City Hall at 8 East Washington Street, Athens, Ohio until 2 p.m. on Friday May 5, 2023.
At that time and place, they will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids will be considered valid until 60 days after the opening date, although not accepted or rejected.
The sealed bid must be clearly marked with “Vehicle Bid” on the outside of the envelope. Please include your name, address, contact information, vehicle name(s) and the bid amount(s) in your sealed bid. The vehicle will be available to view at the Athens Community Center (701 E. State St.) M-F, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Please contact Kevin Scurlock at 740-592-3325 for additional information.
The highest bidder will be notified shortly after the bid opening. The winning bid must be paid within five days of the bid award. The vehicle(s) will be available immediately after funding is received and clears the bank.
In the event the highest bid results in a tie, the bidders will be contacted and afforded an opportunity to re-bid. Rules for bidding due to a tie will remain the same and a new date for bids to be received will be conveyed to the tied bidders.
The City of Athens reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities as may be in the best interest of the City.
