This project is to provide a 6,480 SF addition with two drive-thru work bays to the existing Unit Training Equipment Site (UTES) vehicle maintenance facility. The addition will be a pre-engineered metal building with metal exterior roof and wall panels to match the existing facility. A concrete parking to be added on the West side of the building side (Option).

Supporting facilities for the new addition will include exterior concrete work-bay access aprons and a 30-ton crane with 27’-0” A.F.F. hook height. Cost effective energy conservation features will be incorporated into the design, including high efficiency motors, lighting, life safety and HVAC systems. Existing HVAC will be removed and replaced within the existing two vehicle bays.

The eventual successful offeror must able to obtain performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract. Due to the specific nature and technical requirements of the crane, this is considered a key component to the use and structure. Only potential bidders with a historical background and experience in buildings of this type with crane will be considered.

The magnitude of this project is between $3.5M to $4.5M including all Options. All interested concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intent to submit a proposal as a prime contractor no later than 27 MAY 2022.

This notification, which shall not exceed five typewritten pages, must include (1) positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor, and (2) a completed and signed Source Sought Information Request Form (see attached) and (3) A listing of projects completed during the past three years, both for government and private industry. The type of project, dollar value, Contract number, location, and Point of Contact are to be included. Indicate if you were prime or subcontractor, and if subcontractor, provide the name and point of contact for the prime contractor. (4) A brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accomplish the contract.

In the event adequate Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as unrestricted.
